ABOUT THE ARTIST
Barbara Moss Buscher was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa. and relocated with her family to North Wales, Pa. in 1984.
In
1987, Barbara became a member of the newly formed North Penn Arts Alliance,
taking a positive and active part in its activities. In 1991, she was
elected Vice President of both the membership and the Board of Directors,
and in 1992, she became the President of the membership, a position she
held until the spring of 2004. After giving up the Vice Presidency of
the Board of Directors, she still held a seat on the Board, until her
recent appointment as President of the Board of Directors.
As
Chairperson of the Show Committee, she has created an Annual Members'
Exhibition, which began in 1995 and continues to grow. Constantly seeking
out new venues for the membership has become a goal. Barbara teaches private
lessons as well as offering classes in the continuing education program
for the North Penn Arts Alliance and classes at the Greater Norristown
Art League. As a teacher, she reaches out to both children and adults
and offers many unique experiences.
Her work has received numerous awards and honors. She has also been the judge for many local exhibits.
As well as works on paper, Barbara is also a Mural Artist, and her murals can be seen throughout Philadelphia, Montgomery and Bucks Counties, as well as in California.
Barbara's artwork hangs in private collections throughout the United States.
